Children and Youth Director/Minister

 

 

Stallings Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury, North Carolina is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Minister/Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries.  We are looking for a candidate that has a passion and skill for leading children and youth and for guiding them through their faith journey. The ultimate goal is to provide spiritual development opportunities through fellowship, worship, mission work and bible studies. This position reports directly to the pastor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

A qualified individual would be committed to the beliefs of the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message with theological training and must feel a definite call into ministry with children / youth and their families.   The individual must demonstrate evidence of Spiritual maturity and Leadership with an ability to recruit and mobilize a team of volunteers to assist in carrying out the ministry’s mission.  He/she should have experience in leading Christian programs, good project planning capabilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in developing and leading Children and Youth ministry and can bring fresh, cutting edge, yet biblically-based perspectives and practices to the church programs. A college or seminary degree in children and youth ministry (or related field), and prior experience in leading children and youth is preferred.  This is a full-time position and includes working with the Pastor and the Children’s and Youth Committee, to plan, facilitate and evaluate the ministry programs Kindergarten through High school youth.
